Fiona was born in Findhorn, Scotland, to mother Rosemary Dolman and father Gordon Dolman. She moved to Gibraltar at 15 years old when her father was posted there in the RAF. She won awards for the Gibraltar RAF women's windsurfing championships at the age of 16 and 17 years. She is the youngest child.
